Everyone knows that Europe is a rich continent full of amazing places to explore! But just like any other part of the world, some destinations are more charming and unforgettable than others. With that in mind, I decided to create a list of the 7 best places in Europe to visit and fall in love with!
But before anything else, let’s get one thing straight: I’m not suggesting that you visit all of them in a single trip, okay? Use my list to create your own based on your priorities and start planning to visit each destination little by little. Depending on how much time you have, it’s even possible to combine one or two of these spots in the same trip.
Shall we dive into the list of places in Europe to visit and fall in love with?
Places in Europe to visit and fall in love with
Ireland
There’s no better place to start this list! Ireland is an incredible country, although it’s sometimes overshadowed by its more famous neighbors like England and France. But don’t let that stop you from discovering the Emerald Isle.
Special reasons to visit: The Cliffs of Moher (the most visited attraction in the country), Guinness Storehouse (if you’re a beer fan), and Trinity College (home to Ireland’s oldest manuscript, The Book of Kells).

Scotland
Continuing up north on the map, another amazing suggestion of places in Europe to visit and fall in love with is Scotland! The country is part of the United Kingdom, uses the British pound as its official currency, and has served as the backdrop for several iconic series and films such as Outlander, Harry Potter, Braveheart, The Da Vinci Code, and Brave (Pixar animation).
Special reasons to visit: The Highlands, the Isle of Skye, Edinburgh (the capital), and Stirling Castle. Oh, and get readys, Scotland is packed with stunning castles, one more jaw-dropping than the next. It’ll be “wow” after “OMG”!
Denmark
Leaving the UK region behind, a third incredible destination in Europe to visit and fall in love with is Denmark, especially if you’re into cycling!
Copenhagen, the country’s capital, is a true paradise for anyone who dreams of getting around entirely by bike. In fact, there’s even a friendly rivalry between Copenhagen and Amsterdam over which city is the most bike-friendly in Europe. Having visited both, I can say it’s a close competition!
Special reasons to visit: Christiania, this Copenhagen neighborhood is famous for being a free-spirited community where residents live by their own rules. It’s one of the last remaining hippie enclaves in Europe.

Budapest
Stepping away from the list of countries and being more specific, I highly recommend this amazing city for your next Euro trip! Budapest, like some of the other places on my list, isn’t among the most visited destinations by Brazilian tourists, which is a “mistake,” since the city is culturally rich and has a very low cost of living.
Special reasons to visit: Hungary’s currency is not the euro but the forint, which is cheaper than the euro and the pound. The vibe of the city is super lively, especially between May and August. The Hungarian Parliament Building (one of the largest in the world) and the Chain Bridge are must-sees.

Italy
Definitely one of the top places in Europe to fall in love with! It's one of those fantastic destinations that you'll always want to return to. Italy is a magnificent country, blessed with delicious cuisine, a rich history, and breathtaking natural landscapes! After all that praise, it's hard not to include it on your list, right?
Special reasons to visit: Cinque Terre, the Amalfi Coast, Tuscany, and Rome are just a few must-see destinations. But you'll also fall in love with the country because of the pasta and wine, the charming accent, and the warmth of the Italian people.

France
Is it a cliché destination? Yes and no. If you're going to France only to visit Paris, then yes (but there's absolutely nothing wrong with that, okay?!). However, if you decide to explore other cities in the country, then the answer is no.
Special reasons to visit: Disneyland Paris (or Euro Disney), Eiffel Tower, Palace of Versailles, Louvre Museum, Mont Saint Michel, Chamonix (to enjoy the Alps region), and the Loire Valley. If you’d like to know more about why these places are worth visiting, check out the posts “6 MUST-VISIT CITIES IN FRANCE” and “7 Unmissable Tourist Attractions in Paris.”
Germany
To finish off this list of places in Europe to fall in love with, we have Germany! This country is a great choice for anyone interested in history, especially when it comes to the two world wars, but it’s also a fantastic destination for food and art lovers.
Special reasons to visit: Berlin Wall, Dachau concentration camp (located near Munich; if you’re only visiting Berlin, go to Sachsenhausen instead), amazing beers (if you’re into beer), and Neuschwanstein Castle (which inspired Walt Disney’s Cinderella Castle).
